CS5 PSD files

Postby Tom » Sat Jul 24, 2010 1:05 am

Is there a way to save the history of all the edits and changes when saving to a PSD file? I had an image I spent a long time on, saved the PSD. After looking at it the next day I wanted to change something back to original. When I opened it and went to history, there's nothing there. I still have the layers but none of the things I did. I guess I assumed wrong but I thought the PSD files were suppose to save all the information on a project.

Yes there is. It's "Set Edit History Log options" and I found it here, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/c ... 7497a.html
Hope it's OK to put that link here :)

Paula is quite right - you can configure the history to record all changes you have made to you image but changes made in previous sessions can only be recorded textually in a log file>

So as far as I'm aware you can't record the actual changes made in a previous session so that they can be clicked and reverted to in the new session.

The text information recorded in the log file follows this format so you can see what editing stages you have performed on what day and at what time - if that is any use to you :D .....................
